Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder, to reportedly be expelled from Ecuadorian embassy

It said Ecuador would use the INAPapers offshore scandal as a pretext and that the country that had given Assange refuge had an agreement with the United Kingdom for his arrest.

The anti-secrecy organisation said its sources in Ecuador had revealed Mr Assange could be removed from the building "within hours to days".

A small group of protesters and supporters of the WikiLeaks founder gathered Thursday outside the embassy in London where Assange has been holed up since August 2012.

Because of this so-called "breach", Assange will be made to leave the embassy and would be arrested by British authorities.

Assange has been living inside the London-based embassy since 2012 seeking refuge after a British judge ruled that he should be extradited to Sweden for sexual assault allegations.

Sweden dropped the case in 2017, but Mr Assange fears he could be extradited to the US and face charges for releasing top secret US Government information through his website, Wikileaks.

After an worldwide arrest warrant was issued by Swedish police through Interpol, Assange presented himself to the Metropolitan police in December 2010 and appeared at an extradition hearing where he was granted bail.

Moreno has accused WikiLeaks of leaking documents allegedly implicating him and his family in a corruption scheme with a Panamanian investment firm, INA Investments Corp.

He added: "Assange can not lie or, much less, hack into private accounts or private phones".

WikiLeaks believes Mr Assange will be extradited to the United States if he leaves the building.

Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno earlier accused the WikiLeaks founder of repeatedly violating the conditions of his years of asylum in the embassy.

Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson, a close friend of the Wikileaks founder, lashed out at the US President Donald Trump today, claiming he was using PR tactics to "shift" attention away from his "inability to perform".

The Ecuadoran authorities a year ago, for the second time, cut off Assange's access to the internet because of concerns that he was damaging the country's ties to Britain and other European nations, purportedly by criticising Spain's handling of its separatist movement.

President Lenin Moreno of Ecuador told radio stations on Tuesday that Assange has "repeatedly violated" the terms of his asylum in the Andean nation's London embassy, where he has lived for almost seven years.
