SpringHill Entertainment Announces Release Date for 'Space Jam 2' Featuring LeBron James

After years of fans demanding that a sequel to Space Jam be made with LeBron James (in a continued effort to compare him to Michael Jordan, the true greatest National Basketball Association player of all-time), Warner Bros.

"July 16, 2021", they wrote with a film camera, basketball, and carrot emoji alongside #SaveTheDate.

Sikhs in India open their doors for Kashmiris; offer them food, protection
The United States had told India it supported its right to defend itself against cross-border attacks, India said. Even separatist leaders in Indian-controlled Kashmir denounced the attack.

The movie will be directed by Terence Nance, who most recently created and directed HBO's "Random Acts of Flyness", and produced by Ryan Coogler, whose projects include "Black Panther", "Creed" and "Fruitvale Station". Interestingly enough, Lola Bunny gets top billing over Bugs Bunny on this promo poster, so perhaps she has a larger role in the follow-up.

It's official - Space Jam 2 has a release date.

Filming is set to begin this summer on Space Jam 2, and while further casting has yet to be announced, EW has some ideas. One fan pointed out that the premiere date, July 16, may have been chosen to pay homage to both the original "Space Jam" star and the new one: Adding the 16th day of the 7th month equals 23, which is Jordan's - and LeBron's - number.

For a bit of context as to why Lang wants to make Space Jam 2 so badly, Lang himself worked on the original Space Jam video game back in the 90s. The announcement was made via Springhill Entertainment's Twitter account with a locker room picture showing the movie's "Big 4". The cult classic starred Michael Jordan and the wily cast of characters of the Looney Tunes, including the iconic Bugs Bunny. But I'm not going to pretend like Space Jam is a great movie, or even a good one.
