Trump condemns 'horrible' attack on 'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett

The police of Chicago have released pictures of suspected men responsible for the brutal homophobic and racist attack of Jussie Smollet. "His story has never changed, and we are hopeful they will find these men and bring them to justice", the statement continues.

The Smolletts also expressed their gratitude for the goodwill they've received: "Our family thanks everyone for their prayers and the huge amount of love he has received".

Jussie Smollett has cooperated with authorities since the investigation first took place and is now in stable condition. One Facebook user wrote, "Wait they yelled, Aren't you that f-t "Empire" N-word". A police statement said chemicals were poured on the "Empire" star's face, and a rope placed around his neck. Smollett asked police to shut down the body cameras as he explained why the rope was around his neck. His attackers purportedly yelled that he was in "MAGA country", an apparent reference to the President Donald Trump campaign's "Make America Great Again" slogan, according to Moore.

A police statement said the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

But when detectives followed up with Smollett later on Tuesday, he recalled the offenders making those comments, and detectives completed a supplemental report. Smollett was walking in an area that has high-end hotels and restaurants.

Earlier, hundreds of flights were grounded or delayed at USA airports because of unpaid air traffic controllers calling in sick. Senate blocked two competing bills, backed by the White House and Democrats respectively, to reopen the government.

"One was going north and one going south", Guglielmi said.

"The manager goes to the apartment, and they agree to call police". "You nearly have to watch them at the same time" because each camera shows the same time stamp but from different angles.

In the search for answers as to who these attackers were, police began looking for surveillance videos. Cops also found on another camera that looked like Smollett was "wearing a rope like a neck tie". "Therefore we are not able to confirm this".

Smollet was admitted in northwestern memorial hospital, but is alleged to have been discharged on Tuesday.

Police say the cameras have helped them make thousands of arrests.

That alleged lie, which he also told to Congress, forms the basis for some of his other criminal charges in Friday's indictment . Stone has previously admitted to being in contact with Julian Assange of WikiLeaks during the Trump campaign.

Chicago Police told the network they spoke with Moore and that his account is in the police report - but they haven't yet confirmed it with phone records. CPD has no reason to doubt these claims. "Because of that, independent verification was needed for the investigation".

While taking his statement, Smollett requested the responding officers to turn off their body cameras, which police said isn't uncommon when officers enter a private residence.

Earlier this week, Jussie Smollett was beaten by two white men when he was in Chicago to return to work on the show Empire.

Guglielmi said authorities determined the powder to be aspirin, but declined to give details on the content of the letter.

The FBI is investigating a threatening letter targeting Smollett that was sent last week to the Fox studio in Chicago where "Empire" is filmed, Guglielmi said.

Michy Batshuayi could also head to Milan as a replacement for Higuain but his preference is to join Thierry Henry's Monaco side. It now looks as though Atletico have got the deal over the line and Morata will be returning to Madrid.
