Apple's new MacBook Air has a Retina display and fingerprint sensor

More than anything else introduced this week, the new MacBook Air highlights Apple's strategy of going all in on custom and next-generation parts, even if it pushes up the starting price.

Now featuring a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution that amounts to 4 million total pixels, the MacBook Pro 2018 screen is four times sharper than the previous 2015 model.

The new model features Touch ID built directly into the keyboard.

The CPU uses an 8th Gen dual-core Intel Core i5 (Amber Lake) CPU with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1.5TB of SSD storage. Machines can be equipped with up to 1.5TB of SSD storage that Apple says is up to 60 percent faster than before.

Robert De Niro and Joe Biden latest targets as suspicious parcels found
But FBI and other investigators had been responding to a US Postal facility in DE that morning, FBI spokesman Dave Fitz said. Thomas Antonetti told CNN that the package was received at 375 Greenwich Street and that the bomb squad is on the scene.

Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports are included on the new MacBook Air.

The size of the MacBook Air has also been improved, and the latest model has 17% less volume than its predecessor. According to Apple, the new MacBook Air offers the most secure storage of any Mac notebook today.

The new MacBook Air's release date is November 7, 2018.

Apple's cluttered product lineup is hardly a new problem, but the situation with its laptops is now getting a little bit silly. Apple says that the battery will last 13 hours while playing movies on iTunes, or 12 hours while browsing the web.

At its event today, Apple started off with a new MacBook Air. Or FaceTime HD Camera as Apple calls it, because of course it is. And that is the MacBook Air.

It is 15.6mm thick, which is 10% thinner than the previous Air, weighs 1.24kg, and is made from 100% recycled aluminium. Apple has also brought the TouchID fingerprint authentication system to MacBook Air that will enable users to easily login to their Mac. All things considered, it makes sense to pay the extra $200 to get it if you're in the market for a MacBook Air.

So here's the New MacBook Air, a completely redesigned, reengineered, and carefully refined upgrade over the predecessor. The trackpad is now Force Touch, with 20% more surface area. You get a 3 generation butterfly keyboard which is the same as the ones you get in the current generation MacBook Pro, which means they're quieter and technically less prone to failure.

McLaren recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October serves as a reminder of annual mammograms, but breast health is of importance all year long, hospital officials say. Joan Kelly, Cancer Support Manager, Irish Cancer Society said, "It is important that every woman is breast aware".

All told, it's a better design in terms of portability, but it doesn't leave much room for power similar to that of what the MacBook Air held against contemporaries of the time. We've been rapidly nearing (or arguably already past) the point where these old computers either needed to be updated or removed from the lineup entirely.
