Jacksonville Jaguars: Four players arrested at London nightclub for 'unpaid bar bill'

On Sunday morning, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport provided more details of what he reported was a "misunderstanding" involving those Jaguars players and the staff at a London-area nightclub.

Earlier tonight we discussed the report concerning four players from the Jacksonville Jaguars who were involved in an incident that resulted in several arrests early Saturday in London. Since the initial report surfaced, the players have been identified as Barry Church, DJ Hayden, Ronnie Harrison and Jarrod Wilson.

The Jaguars did not release much information about the incident but did say that the players have been released from custody and are back with the team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in London to play National Football League champions the Philadelphia Eagles at Wembley, with live coverage on BBC Two from 13:00 GMT.

Trouble brewed as the four, having reportedly pampered themselves with fortune-costing drinks and a spectacular onstage show, chose to slip away without footing the bill.

In a statement, the team said: "We are aware that four of our players were detained over restitution of a bill".
