With emergency services arriving on the scene, the helicopter could be seen engulfed in flames.

BT Sport by presenter Jake Humphrey described how the commentary team saw the helicopter, owned by Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, take off from the centre circle shortly before it crashed.

It was not yet known who was in the helicopter.

He said that after a few seconds it appeared to lose control and crashed into the auto park just a few hundred metres away.
