FBI Recovers Stolen ‘Wizard of Oz’ Ruby Slippers

A 13-year crime mystery has now been solved, and film fans can finally rest easy, as some of the most important pieces of memorabilia has now been recovered: Dorothy's lost ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz have been found!

They were taken from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, the actress's hometown, in August 2005.

The FBI is set to announce Tuesday details behind its recovery of the sequined kicks, which were worn by Judy Garland in "The Wizard of Oz".

No charges were announced in the case, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that the slippers were recovered in Minneapolis in July in a "sting operation".

Simpson awkwardly laughs at times and repeatedly yells, "Stop". "She's gorgeous but sometimes I want to kill her", Gio replied. Said Monaldo: 'What I hate about the press is you make a tiny little slip, and that's all they remember you for.

The shoes are thought to be worth several million dollars, but were insured in 2005 for $1 million.

The slippers are one of four pairs of ruby red slippers worn by Garland in the movie that are known to exist. One pair has been on display in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington since 1979.

It remains unclear what will happen with the slippers now that they have been found. Michael Shaw, who owned the slippers and had them on loan to the museum, previously accepted an $880,000 payout from the insurance company to compensate for the loss. Museum officials wanted to keep the slippers in a safe every night, but Shaw didn't want other people touching the delicate artifacts.

A pair of ruby red shoes that are a storied part of Hollywood history are on the way back to their rightful owner, a full 13 years after they were stolen from a Minnesota museum. According to a press release from the Grand Rapids police, a thief or thieves broke into the museum's back door and smashed open the plexiglass case. Since the case led out of the state of Minnesota, the department contacted the F.B.I., which took the lead on the investigation.

We made note of their reporting here. "For 30, 40 years I've been watching flippers", Mr Trump said. Justice Department has long taken the position that a sitting president is exempt from indictment.

Grand Rapids Police Sergeant Robert Stein said that his department stayed quiet about rumors regarding the slippers over the years, hoping the truth would emerge one day.

The news that the shoes had been stolen crushed Shaw at the time.

Conservators at the Smithsonian discovered that the recovered slippers, which are almost 80 years old, were constructed the same way as the pair on display in D.C. and that the two pairs are mismatched twins that were mixed up over the years.

The search for the famous ruby heels, which Garland wore while playing Dorothy, has taken investigators to a collector's mansion in San Diego, to a roadside diner in Missouri, and to the bottom of the Tioga Mine Pit, just outside Grand Rapids.

Trump Calls On SEC to Study Ending Quarterly Reporting
The SEC enjoys some level of distance from the White House because it's an independent agency. Quarterly reports are "early warning signs of other bigger problems", Elson said.

The Wizard of Oz was presented in both black and white, and colour - a first for the industry.
