Actor Steven Seagal made special US-Russia envoy

It would be recalled that an alleged Russian spy with apparent ties to a Donald Trump campaigner in has been in the news concerning Russia's interference with the 2016 presidential election.

"Steven Seagal was appointed as the Russian Foreign Ministry's special representative for Russian-US humanitarian ties", the ministry said.

The unpaid position involves fostering bilateral relations in the fields of "culture, art, public and youth exchanges", according to Moscow. The two countries are also at odds over Syria and Ukraine.

The U.S. Intelligence Community had repeatedly stated Russian Federation interfered with the election. His movies, including such titles as "Under Siege" and 'Sniper: Special Ops, ' are popular with Russian audiences.

This sparked a new round of speculation and confusion among politicians and Americans about Trump's motives. Trump said in Helsinki that the two men discussed a variety of topics in their two-hour one-on-one meeting.

The 66-year-old actor was born in Lansing, the capital city of USA state of MI.
