US Cites 'pervasive' Russian Efforts to Weaken Election

Senate Democrats criticized Republicans over election security this week after GOPs blocked an amendment offered by Senate Appropriations Committee Vice Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) to provide $250 million in election security grants to states.

He added that agencies were meeting weekly to focus on election security ahead of the mid-term elections in November when most of the US Congress faces the voters.

Stewart said when he made his predictions, he was asked about who he thought Russian Federation wanted to win the election. Trump has insisted there was no collusion between his campaign and Russian Federation.
