Protesters plan to fly Trump baby blimp near Scottish Parliament

In the interview, done earlier this week, Trump disparaged May's Brexit plan: "I would have done it much differently".

"It will certainly be something that we bring up and talk about", the U.S. president said.

Her Majesty welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Trump at the dais in the Quadrangle of the Castle, before a Guard of Honour, formed of the Coldstream Guards, gave a Royal Salute as the U.S. National Anthem was played. And he seems to do very well - I was just with him tonight, and I saw him with the Prime Minister sitting there.

Why, you ask? Because about 12 hours before this meeting, Trump blasted May for her handling of Brexit and said that he "told [her] how to do it but she didn't listen".

Mr Trump went further in his Sun interview, saying: "I was very saddened to see he was leaving government and I hope he goes back in at some point".

Trump also refused to take a question from Jim Acosta, chief White House correspondent for CNN, saying he doesn't answer questions from the "fake news" outlet. On Friday, people took to the streets outside of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament as a part of a "Stop Trump" demonstration, which included a giant balloon created to impersonate the president.

Trump arrived in Britain Thursday, and was expected to be in London before later moving to his golf resort in Scotland.

"I am not pitting one against the other", Trump said. Asked in Brussels if he was concerned about the protests during his United Kingdom visit, he said: "I think they like me in the United Kingdom", and said the British people shared his concerns on immigration, claiming "that's why Brexit happened".

Not unexpectedly, Trump also came down heavily on London mayor Sadiq Khan, who has not censured the protests against Trump. "I used to love London as a city".

However, the president made amends, telling May, "I want to apologize for that report".

Protesters are set to march in droves through central London to Trafalgar Square while Trump spends time at Theresa May's country home and with the Queen. He insisted that he still thinks May is "a very good person" and claimed that he never called her a "bossy schoolteacher" as reported in the Washington Post.
