Arteta who is now an assistant coach at Manchester City have been told by Pep Guardiola that he (Guardiola) will not stand in his way if he is offered the Arsenal job.

Arsene Wenger has claimed Mikel Arteta has "all the qualities" to be his successor as Arsenal manager.
