'Total BS.' John Kelly Responds to Reports He Called Trump an Idiot

According to the outlet, which spoke to eight current and former White House officials, Kelly has referred to Trump multiple times as an "idiot", and has grown frustrated with his policy ignorance.

Kelly has denied the whole NBC report, calling it "BS" in a statement. Kelly slammed the report as "total BS" and Stephanie Ruhle--who shares the byline on the report--fired back tonight. When it came time to replace H.R. McMaster as national security adviser, Trump reportedly sidestepped Kelly altogether and chose John Bolton, who was not a Kelly pick.

As a president, it's always a good sign when multiple members of your staff have been known to insult your intelligence in no uncertain terms.

The private manner aides describe may shed new light on why Kelly now finds himself - just nine months into the job - grappling with diminished influence and a drumbeat of questions about how long he'll remain at the White House.

"I spend more time with the President than anyone else and we have an incredibly candid and strong relationship".

The suspect believed to have shot and killed Cpl. "Gene Cole, and he was brought to justice using Cole's handcuffs". The community of 3,500 had been nervous since scores of police officers poured into the region during the manhunt.

"He says stuff you can't believe", a senior White House official told NBC of Kelly.

Hours later, Kelly was joined by President Trump himself on Twitter to refute such an impression of the White House.

Former Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD) agreed with Greer's assertion, saying that especially given Kelly's comments about women, "he's a mirror image in this respect of the president that he serves". Less than a year later, it looks like Kelly is the one who could use a bit of restraint.

Unlike President Trump, who would never be driven by anything besides cold logic.

In one heated exchange between the two men before February's Winter Olympics in South Korea, Kelly strongly - and successfully - dissuaded Trump from ordering the withdrawal of all USA troops from the Korean Peninsula, according to two officials.

Macron to push Trump on Iran deal, says there's no 'Plan B'
He added there would be no reason for Iran to remain in the deal if the U.S. leaves and the benefits for Iran start to diminish.

"I am committed to the President, his agenda, and our country", Kelly concluded.

Tensions between Kelly and Trump have been brewing for weeks if not months. "He's an idiot", Kelly allegedly said during a meeting about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and overall immigration policy.

NBC reported Monday that Kelly has on a number of events criticized Trump's data on points like immigration, and has forged himself as a defending the nation from Trump's impulses.

"He doesn't even understand what DACA is. Hes an idiot", Kelly said in one meeting, two officials who said they were present told NBC News.
