"It's really important that people get any unused medication out of their home", said Kim Burns, professor at the LECOM School of Pharmacy.

The Mayo Clinic is partnering with local law enforcement to host a drop-off for prescription drugs Saturday in Rochester - one of many drop-off events taking place around the state.

Those who want to participate can bring their leftover prescription drugs to 16 locations throughout Kentucky.

The drop-off location is in the East Hills Mall Parking lot in St. Joseph near the old Sears store.
