Final House Intelligence Committee Report On Russia Defends Trump

Two former Trump advisers claimed during the campaign they knew Russian Federation had dirt on Clinton, or had communicated with the group that hacked Democratic emails - before those things happened.

House Republicans have investigated whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian Federation during the 2016 election and come to this conclusion: No.

"They were very forceful in saying that the Clinton campaign actually did contribute to Russian Federation, so maybe somebody ought to look at that", Trump declared. "Wow! A total Witch Hunt!".

Compiled by the committee's Republican-majority contingent, the report described Trump's associates as having several "ill advised" Russian contacts, however. The probe, they insisted, is not over yet.

"The committee also found the Trump campaign's periodic praise for and communications with WikiLeaks - a hostile foreign organization - to be highly objectionable and inconsistent with USA national security interests." the report went on.

Although the House panel cleared Trump and his campaign from collusion charges, the report warned that Russian Federation would continue to interfere in the United States process without significant deterrence efforts, and "unless the cost-benefit equation of such operations changes significantly", not just the Putin regime but other hostile governments will also continue to pursue attacks against the U.S. and its allies.

President Donald Trump has denied that he was aware of the meeting between Trump Jr., other campaign officials, and a Kremlin-linked promising damaging information on Hillary Clinton.

Mueller is helming the sole non-congressional investigation into Russian Federation and potential Trump campaign involvement, and has been a constant target of Trump's ire.

The committee's Republicans didn't let the Trump campaign completely off the hook.

As fully expected and essentially predetermined, the 253-page report concludes that there was no "collusion" between members of President Donald Trump's election campaign and the Russian government.

"We sought to determine whether that number belonged to the president, because we also ascertained that then-candidate Trump used a blocked number", Schiff told the Post.

"When we started this investigation, we set out to give the American people the answers to the questions they've been asking and we promised to be as transparent as possible in our final report".

Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas, meanwhile called on intelligence officials to clear the committee to release more information from the report that was deemed classified.

Panel Democrats fiercely opposed the conclusion, arguing that the committee did not interview enough witnesses or gather enough evidence to support its finding.

Friday's heavily redacted report contained new surprises because a summary of the panel's conclusions was made public last month.

Also, the Federal Bureau of Investigation successfully renewed secret warrants to spy on a Trump official, Page, during the campaign, which requires multiple levels of authorization and approval from a secret court.

"Many of the redactions include information that is publicly available such as witness names and information previously declassified", Conaway said in a statement Friday. The panel also recommended the executive branch "crack down" on leaks by conducting polygraphs.
