Wales travel warning as snow and ice forecast

A yellow weather warning of snow and ice has been issued by the Met Office for Nottinghamshire.

Heavy sleet, hail and snow showers will follow.

"Showers most frequent in the west and north".

Get ready for more snow, sleet, rain
Corrigan said areas along and north of Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania "will have the best chance of remaining all snow". Temperatures will be in the 30s and will drop into the low 20s and teens in some parts of the state.

The warning was issued at 8am on Thursday morning and will come into effect at 9pm on Thursday night for 12 hours until 9am on Friday morning. Further outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the south and east will occur through the course of the day, turning heavy at times.

Widespread showers will be wintry with some snow accumulations, frost and icy stretches. There is also the risk of hail and thunder near Atlantic coasts.

The Met Office chief forecaster added: "Ice is expected to form as skies clear".

Temperatures will stay between 2°C and 3°C for most of the day, according to Met Office forecast.

Between 1-4cm of snow is possible in places there, though rain and sleet may occur along coasts.

Temperatures will barely climb above freezing tomorrow, but with wind-chill, it will feel more like -4 degrees at times.
