George HW Bush 'voting for Clinton'

Sep 22, 2016, 00:50

The post by Kathleen Kennedy Townsend - the former lieutenant governor of Maryland and daughter of Robert F Kennedy - shows her posing with George H W Bush with the caption "The President told me he is voting for Hillary!"

Rumor has it that former President George H.W. Bush will be voting for Hillary Clinton when ballots are cast at the polls this November.

Bush's younger son Jeb Bush ruled out extending support to Clinton.

Bush's spokesman Jim McGrath refused to confirm the claim, saying that who the former president decides to vote for is his own business.

UN suspends all convoys in Syria after attack on aid trucks
The ceasefire had been called specifically to allow aid into some of the most desperate parts of Syria. United Nations officials in Syria say they learned of the attack on the convoy while it was underway.

In May, McGrath said George H.W., who has enthusiastically endorsed every Republican nominee for the past five election cycles, will stay quiet in this race, the Texas Tribune reports.

This may be the most damning blows against Donald Trump, 70, in this election. "I wouldn't want my children to speak to other kids that way and they're three". Neither attended the Republican National Convention in Cleveland where Donald Trump accepted the Republican nomination for president.

That's according to a Kennedy clan member who posted the news about the 41st president on her Facebook page. He also said that Clinton was an "untrustworthy liberal politician" that would continue President Barack Obama's policies.

Even after blocking the first President Bush's attempt at re-election in 1992, President Bill Clinton and the elder Bush have developed a father-son like relationship.

"This was a bruising primary, and Jeb Bush really failed all expectations that he would be the "electable", the predominant person on the stage".

This is the first time a member of the Bush family talks - even though indirectly - about the 2016 election, since former Florida Governor Jeb Bush made a decision to suspend his campaign, during the primaries. Former President George W. Bush hasn't, either, and gave a speech some interpreted as criticism of Trump's policies at an event last month. He himself didn't issue an endorsement or say anything about his candidate preference publicly; all the news about his voting for Hillary Clinton so far is hearsay relayed by someone else.

George P. Bush, George H.W. Bush's grandson, has backed Donald Trump.
